Women’s Marathon #2 – Marathon #109
This was my second time running the Women’s Marathon. The last time it was in Savannah, Georgia; this year it was in Scottsdale, Arizona. We had a great group from our Fleet Feet runners traveling from CT to take on the race.

Marine Corps Marathon #2 — Marathon #108
This was my second Marine Corps Marathon, and I had such a great experience! I ran it last year and loved the course, and once again, the weather was perfect. We flew American Airlines and had a nice, short flight to D.C.

Hartford Marathon #12 – Marathon #107
I knew this marathon would be unlike any other—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Just one day earlier, I was in Columbus, GA, at my son Paul’s "Turning Blue" ceremony and his final Army OSUT graduation. The past two days, watching him, standing tall in uniform, brought a lump to my throat. The Army band lifted the heaviness with their energy and invited us to dance on the field. They offered the mic to the first six people to get out on the field to announce their soldie

Berlin Marathon (#2/Marathon #106)
This was my second time running the Berlin Marathon—I previously ran it in 2022 and had a fantastic experience. Naturally, I was excited to return.
As race day approached, I was obsessively checking the 10-day weather forecast. Initially, it looked like rain, but as the day drew nearer, the forecast shifted to a high of 80°F. My heart sank. I’ve never been strong in the heat, and the older I get, the more it affects me.

Revel Half Marathon
I typically only write race recaps for marathons, but since I originally signed up for the full and this trip turned into a pretty amazing runcation with our Fleet Feet family, I decided to recap this one too.

The Big Sur Marathon (#6 / Marathon #105)
This was my sixth time running the Big Sur Marathon, and I knew I was in for a treat.

Boston Marathon #12 - #104
This year marked my 12th consecutive Boston Marathon—and it was an emotional one. I knew going into the race that it wouldn’t be my strongest performance.
