Phantom Pains

Phantom Pains

Hope you're enjoying your taper. I remember when I couldn't understand why tapering was referred to as "taper madness". I learned quickly that as those miles start to decrease your mind and body start to go through a process. As your body is resting and recovering, don't be alarmed if you start to notice a few new aches and pains. Be aware of these "phantom pains". This is normal so don't freak out. I always seem to get a new nagging pain during tapering. Kim's gotten used to this and reminds me by saying, "this will pass Jeanne", I may not think so at the time, but he's 99.9% right about it.
