This was my second time running the San Francisco Marathon, but this year felt extra special. I had the honor of being selected as a race ambassador after submitting my story of running the marathon with vertigo. Being accepted was thrilling, and the free race entry helped cover some of my travel costs.

While in San Francisco, I had the chance to meet up with the other race ambassadors and even volunteered at the expo. They assigned me to hold the "Ask Me a Question" sign, which led to some of the most ridiculous (and hilarious) questions ever! Kim and I had a blast with it.
One of the biggest highlights of the weekend was meeting Dean Karnazes, the legendary Ultra Marathoner, at the 5K. He was incredibly kind and even let us take photos with him. The day before the race, we participated in the inaugural 5K, which was a great warm-up for the big day.
Race morning arrived, and the course was absolutely incredible. Kim and I ran strong, and I couldn’t have been happier with my performance. I finished with a 1st place in my age group, a PR, and a Boston qualifying time!
Would I come back? Hell yeah!
